Kipton Cronkite is an American philanthropist and the founder of KiptonART.
== Early life and education ==
Cronkite is a native of Oklahoma whose grandfather James Buell (JB) Cronkhite was the first man to build a recreational facility in western Oklahoma, which he did in the 1920s.〔http://www.watonga.com/romannose〕 The Cronkhites sold 540 acres of that land in 1935 which is now the site of the first state park in Oklahoma, Roman Nose State Park.〔http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCZBKZ_roman-nose-mesa?guid=db6693df-384c-491a-877e-a3c09799c974〕
